President Bola Tinubu has renamed the popular University of Maiduguri to Muhammadu Buhari University.
The renaming of the tertiary institution was approved at the special Federal Executive Council meeting organised in honour of the late former president, Muhammadu Buhari, this evening on Thursday, July 17.

Buhari died at a London Hospital on Sunday at the age of 82.
He was buried in his private residence on Tuesday, July 15, with his family, friends, political associates, and dignitaries in attendance.
