Rep Dumps Adeleke and PDP

Member representing Ife Federal Constituency of Osun Taofeek Ajilesoro has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)

The Nation recalled that Ajilesoro was one of the party leaders who agreed to follow Governor Ademola Adeleke to any party.

But Adeleke on Tuesday said his defection plan into the All Progressives Congress(APC) was frustrated, urging supporters to stay in the PDP.
However, Ajilesoro dumped the party on Tuesday night notifying PDP party leaders in a letter dated July 22nd, 2025, of Ilare Ward II, Ife Central Local Government, Osun State of his resignation from the party.
The letter, which was copied National Assembly, PDP National Working Committee, and others, reads: ”Please accept this letter as formal notification of my resignation from the People’s Democratic Party
(PDP), effective immediately
