Presidential Aide Blasts El-Rufai for Contradictory Claims

Date:

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, has accused Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, former Governor of Kaduna, of double-speak on the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a post on X, Ajayi said El-Rufai contradicted himself during a Channels Television interview on Sunday when he stated that “nobody makes a meaningful change in governance within four years”.

He described El-Rufai as “the enfant terrible of Nigerian politics” and faulted his criticism of the Tinubu administration.

Ajayi said: “It beggars belief that El-Rufai started a scorched-earth campaign against the administration of Tinubu when the government was less than a year in office.

“If El-Rufai knew that four years are not enough to make any meaningful change or transformation, where do we then place his current campaign of calumny?”
