Ondo State Pledges Support for the Commodities Association

The Ondo State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services, Pastor Adebola Ademuwagun, has pledged the support of the State Government for the Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association of Nigeria (OSACA).

 

Ademuwagun made this known during a familiarisation visit by the members of the Association in Akure.

 

In a release issued by Aderonke Adewumi, the Press Officer of the Ministry, the Commissioner expressed the commitment of the Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa-led Administration to improving food production, stating that the Ministry would collaborate with the small-scale farmers to showcase them.

 

According to him,

Commodities such as raw materials, staple crops, and livestock are traded globally to generate revenue, and they also serve as fundamental inputs for industries like biofuels and textiles.

He said the future and our hope remained in agriculture, hence the need to promote agricultural products in the state.

While commending the Association for its visit, he explained that he was expecting a robust relationship between OSACA and the government in the best interest of the public.

The Chairman of the Association, Chief Frederick Abiodun Adejo, had earlier congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment to the office, stressing that the Association had intended to partner with the State Government

Adejo urged the government to take up the challenges of improving the relevant technology to increase agricultural commodities.
