The self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra Government in Exile, Mr. Simom Ekpa has been found guilty of terrorism by the Finish court.
The Päijät-Häme District Court sentenced Simon Ekpa to six years in prison for terrorism offences.

Nigeria’s information minister, Mohammed Idris, has welcomed the conviction of Simon Ekpa by a Finnish court for terrorism-related crimes.
“We welcome the news of Simon Ekpa’s conviction by a Finland Court for terrorism-related crimes, and his sentencing to six years in prison. A major victory for the Nigerian people in the collective fight against terror,” Idris said in a post on X.
A district court in Finland on Monday sentenced Ekpa, a pro-Biafra agitator, to six years in prison after finding him guilty of participating in a terrorist organisation and inciting crimes for terrorist purposes.
The court ruled that Ekpa used his platforms to coordinate violent actions linked to separatist activities in Nigeria’s southeast, and also engaged in aggravated tax fraud.
Ekpa, who has denied the charges, remains in custody. The judgement can be appealed
The Court found Ekpa guilty of inciting a public crime committed with terrorist intent and participating in the activities of a terrorist group.
