Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji has presented the 2026 Appropriation Bill, totalling N415.57 billion, to the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
In summary, Oyebanji said, “The budget, which was titled Budget of Impactful Governance, is designed to consolidate the gains of the past three years and further strengthen the foundation of our shared prosperity agenda.
“This budget reflects the voices and aspirations of Ekiti people. It is a product of extensive consultations held across our three senatorial districts, where community representatives, traditional rulers, and civil society groups shared their priorities. Their contributions have shaped this document into a people-driven plan for sustainable growth.
“Our focus for 2026 is to complete all ongoing projects, invest in agriculture and its value chains, and continue to expand opportunities for wealth creation and improved welfare. We are also deepening fiscal discipline and transparency to ensure that every naira works for the people of Ekiti State.
“I remain deeply grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support for Ekiti and his bold economic reforms, which continue to strengthen subnational economies like ours.
“With the continued partnership of our legislature and the steadfast support of the people, we will deliver impactful governance and move Ekiti forward with purpose, unity, and accountability.”
