Regina Daniels’ brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, has regained his freedom after being arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft — offences linked to a petition reportedly filed by the actress’s estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Confirming the development, Daniels took to her Instagram page on Tuesday, sharing a video and expressing excitement over her brother’s release.
“And my brother is out. So, one battle down,” she said joyfully.
It was earlier reported that the Federal Capital Territory Police Command arraigned Ojeogwu before a court in Abuja following a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025. And He was arraigned on November 6, 2025.
According to The Nigerian Lawyer, the Abuja Magistrate Court on Monday granted Ojeogwu bail set at ₦5 million, secured by a legal team led by human rights lawyer, Marshal Abubakar
The matter was adjourned to November 28 for further hearing.
In the video, Daniels became emotional as she reflected on the love and support she received during her brother’s detention.
