The Independent National Electoral Commission on Wednesday released its report on completed online and physical continuous voter registrations, showing a nationwide total of 2,449,475 registered voters.
The commission disclosed that 1,425,898 individuals completed the online pre-registration process, while 1,023,577 finalised their registration through physical capture.
Osun State topped the chart with 193,026 completed registrations, followed by Imo with 144,209 and Kano with 142,433. Sokoto recorded 132,584, while Lagos posted 115,334. Borno followed closely with 112,226 completed registrations, and the Federal Capital Territory reported 106,855.
Kogi emerged next with 97,012 registrations, ahead of Jigawa’s 95,543 and Zamfara’s 90,739.
Katsina recorded 87,661, while Kaduna posted 82,421.
Delta registered 79,495, followed by Kebbi with 77,721 and Ogun with 77,014. Niger State completed 73,745 registrations.
Oyo and Akwa Ibom reported similar figures of 68,559 and 68,464, respectively, while Rivers recorded 63,621.
Adamawa had 52,381 completed registrations, followed by Kwara with 50,221 and Yobe with 49,766.
Benue registered 46,802, and Bayelsa recorded 41,856. Bauchi followed with 37,749 completed registrations.
Ekiti posted 33,393, Gombe 32,890, and Nasarawa 31,862. Ebonyi recorded 29,102, while Edo reported 27,602.
Plateau completed 25,301 registrations. Taraba recorded 18,731, followed by Enugu with 17,234 and Ondo with 16,709. Cross River posted 15,339, while Abia completed 13,875 registrations.
Anambra remained at zero, as voter registration in the state is still suspended in line with Section 9(6) of the Electoral Act 2022 due to the recently concluded governorship election.
The CVR is scheduled to conclude in August 2026.
Since the exercise began on August 18, 2025, states in the South-West, particularly Osun and Lagos, have consistently led in registration numbers.
