The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has revealed that the volume of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) imported to country in June 2026 soared to 18.1million litre per day.
The volume rose from the 5.9ml/d imported in May, according to the NMDPRA Factsheet State of the Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) June 2026.
In the month under review, petrol receipt increased by 7 per cent to 50.6ml/d from the 47.4ml/d in the previous month.
NMDPRA said stock sufficiency of the product increased by 22 per cent to 19.7 per cent from the 16.2ml/d of May.
In June, crude oil receipt by domestic refineries increased by 10 per cent to 0.632million barrels per day from the 0.578 per cent in May.
Daily average receipt of petrol was 50.6ml.
While Dangote Petroleum Refinery produced 39.1ml/d, it supplied 32.5ml/dand exported 3.3ml/d.
According to the report, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) refineries were shutdown producing nothing.
