Ikare Akoko, Ondo State
In an unprecedented political shift, Ikado Ward 1 in Akoko North East Local Government Area witnessed a historic realignment today as the entire executive structure of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)—from the Chairman down to the last Ex-Officio member—officially decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC), leaving the PDP with zero membership in the ward.
Leading the decampees, the former PDP Ward Chairman, Hon. Adelana Tajudeen, described the move as a bold and heartfelt decision taken to appreciate the visionary leadership of the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, particularly for appointing a proud son of the ward, Pastor (Hon.) Adebola Ademuwagun, as the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Service.
In his address, Commissioner Pastor (Hon.) Adebola Ademuwagun expressed profound gratitude to God and to the people of Ikado Ward 1 for their unwavering love and unity. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the dividends of democracy under the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa are evenly felt across the ward and the entire Akoko North East.
He further delighted the gathering with the announcement that Mr. Governor has approved a 5-kilometre road project for each Commissioner in the state, and he wasted no time in selecting the crucial Okela–Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC) Road in Ikare Akoko as his priority project. He assured the people that he is actively lobbying for additional developmental projects that will bring lasting impact and joy to the community.
In his concluding remarks, Pastor Ademuwagun warmly assured the new APC members that there will be no segregation or discrimination of any kind. He emphasized that the decampees will be fully integrated and their names will be duly captured in the party congress whenever it is convened.
The atmosphere at Ikado Ward 1 was filled with excitement, unity, and renewed hope as the APC family welcomed their newest members in a manner that signaled a stronger, more cohesive po thelitical future for the ward and Akoko North East at large.
E-signed:
Pastor Adebola Ademuwagun (Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Service)
