Establishing a campaign and political office, or a political movement secretariat, is an important milestone that cannot be overemphasised in determining commitment to political aspirations and strengthening democracy in human society.
Thus, a political campaign office is a vital democratic institution in party politics, serving as the nerve centre for growth in politics and electoral activities. Within the last few months, the Alubarikah movement has been involved in setting up an edifice for its political activities. As at the time of writing this, the edifice located in No. 34, Akinlade Street, Alekuwodo, Osogbo, is completed and ready for commissioning on 22nd of November 2025.
Led by the distinguished Senator Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, the current National Secretary of All Progressives Congress, Alubarikah movement desires to deepen involvement in party politics and strengthen democracy in Nigeria. Thus, an institution like its new secretariat becomes very important to link yesterday with today and set a smooth path to the future. Thus, a breeding space for unblemished politicians is deservedly needed to establish a training institution for its members.
Above all, Alubarikah Secretariat is established to promote the party’s agenda, mobilise support, and ultimately secure votes. The key functions of Alubarikah Secretariat are to serve as a library of political ideas, which will develop skills in political policy formulation and communication. It will also serve as an agent of our aligned political party in party membership and voter mobilisation. In addition, Alubarikah Secretariat will play a crucial role in selecting and supporting candidates for various electoral positions, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and expertise to win. Alubarikah movement secretariat will be responsible for raising funds and allocating resources effectively to support electoral activities involving its members, and supporting our party with the needed resources whenever the party desires such. The office will be involved in recruiting, training, and managing election candidates and volunteers who help with campaign activities, such as canvassing and political event organisation.
In Alubarikah Secretariat, our best practices include transparency and accountability, inclusiveness, and diverse representation and engagement with citizens and the political community.
In view of the above, one therefore humbly appreciates our principal, Dr Ajibola Surajudeen Basiru, for envisioning the idea and making it happen promptly. It is a great deal for all of us.
