For April 2026, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has declared N481billion Profit After Tax (PAT), which rose by 79.23 per cent from the N276 billion posted in March 2026.
This was contained in its April 2026 Monthly Report Summary, released on its X handle on Sunday.
The report revealed that in the period under review, NNPCL raked in N4.971 trillion in revenue, a 74.28 per cent increase from the N2.774 trillion recorded in the preceding month.
According to the report, NNPCL remitted N3.714 trillion as statutory payments for January to April. Recall that the state- owned company had paid N2.888 trillion between January and March, indicating that the firm paid N826billion to the Federation Account for April 2026.
“The report covers key figures, including revenue of NGN4,971 billion (up by 79.23% from the March 2026 report), profit after tax of NGN481 billion (up by approximately 74.28% from the March 2026 report), cumulative statutory payments of NGN3,714 billion for January to April, strategic initiatives during the period, and more,” says NNPCL.
The impressive financial statement can be attributed to the growth recorded in the production across board and the rise in crude oil prices owing to the US, Israel/ Iran crisis.
The report stressed that the company recorded month-on-month growth across key production metrics, with crude oil and condensate output rising to 1.68 mmbopd and gas production holding at 7,730 mmscf/d, representing an increase of approximately 7.69 per cent in crude oil and condensate output compared with the March 2026 report. Gas production remained broadly stable, dipping marginally from the March 2026 figure of 7,731 mmscf/d.
NNPCL also highlighted the successfull completion of the 130Kilometer Obiafu- Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline River Niger Crossing.
The report said there were also activities on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline mainline, geared towards achieving early gas to Abuja.
“We also highlight key milestones, including the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing, as well as continued progress on construction and installation activities on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline mainline, geared towards achieving early gas to Abuja,” according to the report.
