Vice President Kashim Shettima will be in Ekiti State tomorrow on a one-day working visit.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji will lead top officials of the state to receive the Vice President on arrival at the Ekiti Agro Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti.
A statement yesterday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Olayinka Oyebode, said during the visit, Vice President Shettima, who will be representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will perform the ground-breaking of the Ekiti Knowledge Zone (EKZ). He will also inaugurate the newly built zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti. The Vice President will also inaugurate the newly constructed 1.2-kilometre Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover at Okeyinmi, in Ado-Ekiti, one of the legacy projects of the Oyebanji administration.
Tomorrow’s visit will be Vice President Shettima’s second, having previously visited the stat in May 2024, when he inaugurated the Omisanjana- Deeper Life- Ajebandele Road and the MSMSE clinic in Ado-Ekiti, among others.
Governor Oyebanji has said top-notch arrangements are in place to make the Vice President’s visit memorable. Strategic collaboration with the Federal Government, other sub-national governments, relevant institutions, local and international development agencies, as well as the private sector remains a strong point in the Oyebanji administration’s development agenda.
