LSSTF Provides Security Gadgets For Lagos Police Command

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has donated modern crime-fighting equipment and protective gadgets to the Lagos State Police Command to strengthen security operations and enhance effective policing across the state.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Lagos State Governor, Wale Ajetunmobi, disclosed this in a video shared on X on Saturday.

According to him, the Executive Secretary of LSSTF, Dr Ayo Ogunsan, presented the items and described the intervention as a proactive step aimed at boosting the morale of security personnel while improving security coverage across Lagos.

Ogunsan said the initiative reflects the state’s continued commitment to strengthening security infrastructure.

He further explained that equipping officers with modern tools would enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall safety of residents.

“The essence of this intervention is to ensure that our security personnel are properly equipped to respond effectively to emerging threats and maintain public safety across Lagos,” he said.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Lagos State Police Command, Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, expressed appreciation to the LSSTF and the state government for the support.

“We are grateful to the Lagos State Government and the LSSTF for this timely intervention,” he said.

He assured that the gadgets would not be left idle, adding, “These tools will be immediately deployed to strategic Area Commands across the state.”

The Commissioner further stated that the equipment would significantly enhance surveillance capacity and improve the command’s ability to maintain law and order.

“These gadgets will help us raise our surveillance level, improve response capacity, and ensure the safety of lives and property across Lagos State,” he added.

The LSSTF intervention comes amid ongoing efforts to modernise security operations in the state.

It was earlier reported that the LSSTF collaborated with the Nigeria Police Force Airwing Command to launch aerial surveillance patrols across Lagos as part of a broader intelligence-led policing strategy.
